We begin with a consultation, or simply a 'meet and greet', which can take place in person or by phone. The purpose of this initial consultation is to determine the direction which we will take for your invitations and stationery. Some couples opt for designs out of our collection while others decide on a more extensive custom route. We will discuss your budget, stationery needs, timing as well as aesthetic details such as color scheme, themes and structural considerations all relating to your individual project. We encourage you to bring along design inspiration, color swatches and any other details you wish to incorporate. Knowing your budget for event stationery is extremely helpful at this point in time as well!
After your consultation you will receive a detailed estimate based on our consultation. In order to move forward with the creative process, we require a signed contract as well as a deposit equal to the design fee.
For clients who choose a design from our collection, this part involves seeing your selected design come to life with your color, paper and font selections on your proof before going to print. Custom clients experience a more involved collaboration in which we will work very closely with you to make sure your custom design is crafted to absolute perfection. Along the way we utilize our talents and expertise in the art of design and printmaking, guiding you to the best materials and elements to achieve the optimal look for your invitation suite. Design concepts will be presented for your review via pdf. We will then work closely with you to revise the design into a final version. The design fee includes 3 revisions. Any revisions beyond this will incur a $50 per revision charge.
4. APPROVAL & CREATION
Before we begin the printing and production phase, you will be asked to sign and approve the final proof and 50% of the balance will be due. Each product is executed with meticulous attention to detail and flawless hand-craftsmanship. Printing and production may take anywhere from four to six weeks depending on the complexity of your project. Production timeline will be determined by the materials, construction and/or embellishments.
We offer digital calligraphy services in a range of styles from contemporary scripts and fonts to elaborate flourished calligraphy style. We will send you an excel template to put your address in to make the process more streamline. Please factor in an additional two to three weeks. If you are addressing envelopes yourself, please also factor in the time it will take for the completion of this.
6. PICK-UP OR DELIVERY
We will inform you when your invitations are ready for pick-up. Final balance, plus any taxes, or handling fees will be due upon pick up. If you are out of town, we can have your invites shipped via USPS or UPS.
